What happened to the Molten Sea?

Jesus said that those who worship the Father "must" worship Him in Spirit and in truth.  Why?  For, as Christ said, such the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

So, what does all this have to do with a huge bronze vat of water found in Solomon's temple?  And, by the way, I mean huge!  We are talking about 15 feet wide from brim to brim, over 7 feet deep and holding close to 17,500 gallons of water.

What does Spirit and truth worship have to do with the Molten Sea?
